Introducing… Quinn & Rover’s Summer 2023 Litter!

Well, Quinn’s puppies are a week old, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress they’ve made this week!

Names & Birth Experience

“Flash”

This little guy has a big white streak from his head to the middle of his chest. He's stunning, and some may call him FLASH-Y!

“Mac”

He almost looks like he has an M and a C on his chest with his cute little white marks, so we went with best of both worlds and named him MAC!

“APRIL”

This little gal is the smallest, but only by an ounce! We wanted to honor her unique coloration in this litter by giving her a name similar to "Apricot," since that's her shade. APRIL it is!

“SUNSHINE”

This little girl has similar markings to her brother Flash, but she's a nice and warm red. She was followed by a little bubble on her way out, that I nicknamed the moon to her SUNSHINE.

“Flo”

Just like Lucky from Quinn’s last litter, this girl slid on our as quickly as possible. She's a super good weight, She's a nice and DARK rich red. We wanted to make one of them similar to a flood name since our basement flooded, and we'll be using our profits to repair our basement. We call her FLO because it's what she did and it's what she'll help us with.

1 Week Update

The puppies all gained quite a bit of weight. All of them were between 6 and 7.5 oz at birth, and now they’re all 12-15.5 oz. Most of them doubled their initial weights and we’re super proud of how well Quinn has been taking care of them.

Initially Flo didn’t really seem to have many white markings on her, but as we’ve watched them grow we’re seeing some white hairs pop up around her chin and nose area. It’ll be interesting to continue to see all of their beautiful coats come in.

We’re already starting to notice little things like how April will crawl from one side of the kennel to the other just to get closer to where most of her siblings are. Flash and Sunshine are getting harder to tell apart, but we’ve noticed Flash is a big momma’s boy and he’s still the biggest in the litter. We’ve enjoyed seeing their cute little dreamy twitches they do when they sleep.

Looking forward to their 2 week mark! We’ll get more pictures of them after their eyes open up. It’s such an exciting milestone to look forward to, and I’m thrilled that we get to go on this journey with these cute babies!
